Udit Narayan is a renowned playback singer who has lent his voice to numerous Bollywood songs. He was born on December 1, 1955, in the district of Saptari, Nepal. He moved to Mumbai, India in the late 1970s to pursue a career in music.


Udit Narayan made his debut in Bollywood in 1980 with the song "Mil Gaya" from the movie "Unees Bees". However, it was his song "Papa Kehte Hain" from the movie "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" (1988) that made him popular. He went on to win several awards for his singing, including five National Film Awards and multiple Filmfare Awards.
